Neighbourhood Management

Changing St Peters in Leicester..? - You Bet !

St Peters at its best!

It is probably true to say that until the neighbourhood management board in conjunction with support from the community in St Peters can resolve the issue of rubbish, litter and the widespread practice of fly tipping in the neighbourhood that St Peters is probably best seen only from a distance.

In fact from a distance St Peters looks great for different reasons throughout most of the seasons of the year.

Leicester City Council did a great job landscaping the estate after the riots of the early 1980's. Here we are now a generation later and the work done then has now matured into something of the calibre of a botanic garden.

Those of us who live high up and have a south and westerly aspect in particular from our homes can find ourselves startled by the verdant alternative character of the estate so at odds with what we see around us consistently at ground level.
