This walkway like many parts of St Peters, is very leafy and verdant in spring, summer and autumn but is sadly blighted by people discarding litter. Leicester City Council disappointingly fails to deal with it effectively as an issue of priority.

This photo was taken a day after two Street Cleaning staff spent 40 minutes picking up litter after this website raised awareness about it by displaying photo's of the issue in a slideshow.

Where is St Peters?

St Peters Neighbourhood Management Board - Leicester St Peters is an area of primarily social housing in the south east of the city of Leicester in the East Midlands of England. Located just off the A594 city centre ring road and off the A6 London Road.

St Peters can also be approached via the A47 Humberstone Road.

Being mainly residential faith area it incorporates a number of schools, health centre's and business zones for small and light business.

Just a few minutes walking distance from Leicester railway station which is serviced by both Midland Mainline as well as Central Trains.

Compared with many other parts of the city, St Peters is one of the highest.

The city of Leicester in which St Peters is situated close to the M1 motorway, and is on the Midland Main Line from London St Pancras International to Sheffield, Nottingham and Leeds. High-speed trains operated by East Midlands Trains can reach London in just over an hour. It is also served by rail lines to Birmingham via Nuneaton, and to Cambridge via Peterborough.
