Changing St Peters in Leicester..? - You Bet !

How to play our part

The single non-emergency 101 help line is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week ... ok... so no it is not.

Leicester City Council cut the funding to the 101 line after the pump priming funding for this expired in 2007 and so there is now no 101 line. It was never properly funded anyway as we could never get through and even if you did it did not achieve anything that we are aware.

Call Leicestershire Police on 0116 222 2222 to report:
1) Drunk and rowdy behaviour
2) Drug Dealing

Call Leicester City Council on 0116 252 7000 to report:
1) Abandoned vehicles
2) Dumping and fly-tipping
3) Noise Nuisance
4) Vandalism and graffiti
5) Dumping and fly-tipping
6) Threatening or abusive Behaviour

If you can record photographic images or movies without risk to yourself... perhaps on a mobile phone then please remember that STPETERSNM.COM is here to support you and you should forward the images to us to consider using.

You may email these to photo1@stpetersnm.com

If you are frequently beset by issues and you have exhausted all other options we may consider visiting you and monitoring the situation with our own equipment so that we may record the issues to pass to LCC or the police for prosecution.

St Peters Fame Academy - Inconsiderate Parking 1

Caught inconsideratley parking in st peters and given a £60 fixed penalty parking fine. This young lady parked her car on the pavement in Apollo Close in St Peters on May 3rd 2007. She prevented rubbish being collected from the residents of Apollo Close and Atlas Court.

Nothing new for her... as she had done the same thing the previous week which meant residents had to tolerate the stench of piled up rubbish, overflowing bins and blocked chutes until the biffa truck could navigate the bend when her car was parked on the pavement over which it slightly needs to impinge due to cars parked legally on the other side of the road.

She did this because she said "it was convenient for her to park there and she was in a rush." Well it cost here £60 courtesy of a fixed penalty notice.

It is hoped that this will encourage her personally to park properly in future as well as to concentrate the minds of others.

We invite everyone else who chooses to park their cars inconsiderately and illegally in St Peters, or others who are inclined to behave in a way that detrimentally effects this community to think long and hard about the example made here.

As with the example made of Zag who chose to write on our walls... this will not be a one off event.

We intend to identify and make examples of others in the same way if necessary.

St Peters Fame Academy - ZAG (Graffiti Vandal)

graffiti artist caught in action by covert cameraThis new website has worldwide access. Server logs currently indicate several hundred clicks per day.

It is our anticipation that once all the major search engines, online directories and forums lock onto this site that the unique clicks per day will reach 5 or even 6 digits for any 24 hr period.

We are intensively using every known website promotion technique and exploit in order to bring that about.

In addition to that we intend to be most imaginative and creative indeed in promoting this site locally so that reach and penetration of the site into the local community in St Peters and Leicester will be sustained, profound and far reaching.

Basically, this means an awful lot of people will visit this site. Many of whom, you know and who know and recognised you if we put your photo on here.

Be warned... we will make you famous.

Therefore understand and know at least this... that if you

  • Flytip your refuse into the midst of this community
  • Blight our neighbourhood with graffiti
  • Deal Drugs
  • Park Illegally or Inconsiderately
  • Engage in other criminal damage
  • Drop litter
or any other form of anti social behaviour and we photograph you doing this that we will without fail make you famous for that action not only in this neighbourhood but worldwide.

This will effect you now and in the future. The whole community will be see your photograph on here now and for many years to come. This will without doubt, effect your employment and other important life prospects.

Determined to identify and prosecute...

grafitti artish caught in st petersWe will positively bring to bear all the technology and resources we can muster and will stop at nothing to have you identified and have you prosecuted.

Some of us hold the view that it is only by making an example of such people and dealing extremely robustly indeed with "low level" offences, that this problem will ever diminish. We intend to put this theory to the test.

The writing is on the wall for those who fly tip drop litter or write on our walls. And that message is that St Peters is no longer a neighbourhood that is permissive and passive to these issues.
